The news comes on the back of what they say has been a lack of support from the Department of Transport.
At last week’s council meeting, councillors agreed to send a letter to minister Duncan Gay expressing their dissatisfaction if information was not received by August 22.
They would then make a decision on participating in the scheme on September 11.
Council wished for universal truck codes to be put in place for the 2015/16 harvest in negotiation with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.
“There’s no point waiting any longer,” Cr Humphries said.
“We just want to seek clarification on things such as who’s managing it and we need to know things like indemnity. If we allow overloading are we liable?”
Cr Humphries said the council had been waiting for almost 12 months regarding additional information which was due to be passed on “in the next week”.
“We want to be able to opt in or opt out,” she said.
Most councillors said recapping on the scheme was hard as no information or statistics were provided to council, as per the agreement with the Department of Transport.
As part of the letter which will be written, the recommendations from the Grain Harvest Management Scheme meeting in February 2014 will also be included.
The council decided to defer making a formal decision on the scheme because there had been no formal proposal from NSW state government agencies.
It is believed a workshop will be held on August 28.
