Thirty-eight teams participated with players travelling from Narrabri, Wee Waa, Inverell, Goondiwindi, Walgett and Gunnedah.
President, Terry-Anne Sharples, said it was a good day.
“We have only received positive feedback which is good, because we hadn’t had one for a couple of years because of a lack of interest,” she said.
“But it was great to see everyone involved and there were some really high quality games played on the day.”
Players were split into age groups from five and six years to 15 and 16-years-old.
Twenty-one out of town teams combined with 16 local groups to make the day a success.
Teams played six or seven competitions during the course of the day with the games being played in 15-minute halves.
Jukes and Sons (Moree) were overall winners in the five and six years age group and Gunnedah were victorious in the seven-year-olds competition.
Due to numbers the eights and nines were split into two pools with Inverell winning Group A while Thrift Electrical (Moree) won Group B.
Inverell and Narrabri were the winners of their groups in the 10 and 12-year-olds division.
Goondiwindi took out the 13 and 14 years age group while Moree Freight won the 15 and 16 years category.
“Achievement awards were also given out to the five to seven-year-olds for their participation,” Sharples said.
“All the kids had a great time and we’re looking forward to doing it next year,” she said.
