It has been noted that the indoor pool at the Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre is not fully patronised and is rarely enjoyed by more than four patrons per session.
As the indoor pool is so much more sheltered and many visitors and locals appear to be deprived of ‘taking the waters’ because of dangerous winter conditions at the outdoor hot pool it seems obvious that the MAAC board should open the indoor pool to concession card holders at the concession rate during extreme winter months.
Such a positive and benevolent move could attract more frequent visitors, increased revenue and more compassion for those who may benefit the most - the disabled and the elderly.
It has also been suggested that the board of Fairview be invited by arrangement to use the indoor pool for residents if desired but correspondence on this matter remains unacknowledged and unanswered so far, as is known.
