The recent open discussion meeting at the Moree War Memorial Education Centre to plan its future could be similarly applied to open up discussion on the rejuvenation 9or otherwise) of Cascades; damaged but with tiered seating, a cosy theatre individual atmosphere before any less acceptable options in Moree.
The Glen Miller Orchestra and the Keith Urban (oval) concert in Narrabri were, no doubt the result of the attraction of the Crossing Theatre’s very existence in Narrabri.
While the able president and members of Moree Arts Council are congratulated and continue to present such welcome and cultural events for young and older in Moree’s beautiful memorial hall, and so many other great events take place there, it does not have tiered seating and modern sound techniques, although it has great dignity and respect worthy of using its correct title Moree memorial hall in all advertisement.
A challenge exists for Moree to show its spirit of survival and individuality in difficult times so its youth may live to enjoy a better quality of life and education in the future in Moree and for the people of the Plains.
