Jayden Cook and Sonny Osborne joined Madden on the score sheet as the visitors ran riot with a 6-0 win over Narrabri-Wee Waa.
Moree coach Darrel Smith said he was pleased with the gradual improvement he had seen from his new-look side in the opening three rounds.
“We’re still a work in progress but it’s encouraging to see the improvement from the boys in such a short timeframe,” he said.
After pushing premiers Tamworth FC all the way last week Moree created plenty of chances in the first half but only went to the break with a two-goal lead.
“We got ourselves into good areas but we also wasted several chances in the opening half so we spoke about that at half time and the second half performance was much better,” Smith said.
While Moree held onto possession much better than they had in recent weeks, Smith said they were guilty of slowing the game down, which allowed the Narrabri-Wee Waa defence to readjust.
“We know it’s all about patience and build-up but we were playing at their pace and we need to play to our own pace and move the ball quicker,” he said.
“We’ll work on that in coming weeks but the way we’ve kept possession in recent weeks has been good.”
The Premier League breaks for two weeks during the Easter and Anzac period before Moree are on the road again for successive games in Armidale.
They finally return home on May 17.
