Organic chef visits Moree

HAVE you ever met somebody who makes you feel the healthiest you’ve ever felt just by being in their presence?

Good Chef, Bad Chef celebrity and qualified naturopath, Janella Purcell, visited Moree last weekend, sharing her zest for life with 40 like-minded people.

Janella wasn’t the only one who travelled to Moree for the workshop, with people from Gunnedah, Warialda, Coogee, Wee Waa, Lightning Ridge, Earlesville and Rowena keen to see the chef in action.

The event was hosted by Three Apples Organics, with owner, Carrie Thomson-Casey, pleased Janella could visit Moree and share her knowledge on organic food.

“I have a child with severe food allergies so over the last seven years I have looked for allergy friendly foods,” she said.

Whilst in Moree, Janella held a full day workshop along with a private lunch for gold class members.

The workshop included her cooking a super smoothie; truffles with raw cacao, amaranth and coconut; minestrone with ancient grains and seaweed and warm quinoa, cannellini bean, walnut and baked veggie salad with tamari seeds and tahini sauce.

Janella believes that the food we eat affects our physical body and also our mind and spirit.

“I really enjoyed seeing the participants engage with Janella and feel that they can improve their health by choosing good, clean food,” Mrs Thomson-Casey said.
