Three charged after three stabbed

Charges have been laid in relation to an incident which left three people with stab wounds near Moree yesterday.

Investigations yesterday led to crime scene warrants being executed at homes in Blanche Peadon Drive and Kogil Street, Narrabri, and the arrest of three men.

The men, aged 18, 22 and 24 have been charged with assault, affray and traffic offences.

It was around 3am on Thursday that four men were involved in an altercation with a number of other males at Gurley, south of Moree.

Three of the group, aged between 24 and 26, suffered relatively minor stab wounds. The other man, aged 26, suffered a swollen mouth after being hit.

The victims managed to drive from the scene but broke down on route – Police and paramedics attended and the injured men were taken to Moree Hospital for treatment.

Conditional bail was granted by police with all of the accused required to appear at Narrabri Local Court on 25 September 2012.
