The Upper Horton Trail Bike Ride will make its debute this weekend.
The two-day event will host more than 600 riders.
All ages and classes are catered for, from pee-wee riders that must be accompanied by a responsible guardian, right up to advanced open riders.
Moree’s John Armstrong is looking forward to a fun-filled weekend.
“It’s a non-competitive ride with tracks that cater for every member of the family,” Armstrong said.
Col Thomas along with the boys from Upper Horton have designed the tracks.
“There are a few tough tracks; you may think that your one of the best riders but some of them could bring you to tears,” Armstrong said.
The track for senior riders and older junior riders will be a trail of 38 kilometres, with a turn back at the six-kilometre mark in case of bike or rider problems. There will be a fuel and refreshment stop at the 20km point.
From this point a harder break-off loop of about 12km will continue for the pro riders.
Camping will be available at the Upper Horton Rodeo Ground and a bonfire will keep you warm each night at the clubhouse.
Entry is $65 for riders who hold an Australian Motorcycle Licence. The cost will be $85 for non-licenced riders.
Most proceeds will be going towards the Upper Horton clubhouse.
