The Weebolla Bulls first grade side lost their first match of the season at the weekend going down to Inverell 37-24.
The Bulls started well leading at half time 16-10.
With 20 minutes remaining in the match the Bulls looked to win the game leading 24-10.
Inverell bit back hard and stole the game in the final 15 minutes with a few quick tries.
The reserve grade Bulls side won 27-12 against Inverell.
A tightly contested game had the lead changing hands throughout the first half but the Bulls were too strong for the visitors in the end.
The Weebolla Brumbies snuck away with the win against Inverell/Warialda tipping the visitors 34-32.
A few of the Moree girls had a run with Inverell/Warialda to make up numbers.
The next game for the Bulls and Brumbies will be against the Tamworth Pirates in Tamworth this weekend.
The Moree Boars played the Narrabri Blues on Sunday and were defeated in all four grades.
Sixteens lost 50-6 and 18s lost 72-0.
Reserves lost 42-0.
First grade played well in the first half and managed a good lead to half time. Unfortunately the Blues caught up in the second half and Moree lost 44-40 in golden point time after a tight game.
The Moree Boomerangs played at home this weekend against Inverell.
The ladies tag team had an unfortunate loss with the score 24-12.
Under 18s impressed the home crowd coming out on top 28-2 our way.
Reserve grade played well but also had a loss of 28-18.
Finally A grade was a close game.
Inverell won by three points making the score 28-20.
Moree East Public School have been achieving some fantastic sporting accolades over the past few months.
Darryl Sharpley (pictured right) has made the North West Rugby League side and will be playing in Sydney on May 18.
Elizabeth Green, Darryl Sharpley, Jordan McKenzie, Jalika Leslie and Mark Pegas are the fish of the school winning boy and girl champions at their swimming carnival.
Adrian Smith, Izayah Swan, Brandon Barker, Mark Pegas, Shona-Lea Smith, Jordan McKenzie and Delta Swan will be competing in the zone touch football side.
