Gearing up for the Hell of the West triathlon

31 Jan, 2012 11:15 AM
With the weather being quite unusual this year there may be changes.

He and Tony Bergen are two Moree men competing in the individual section.

Ward trains by going on nine-kilometre swims, 20km bike rides and 30km runs.

“I’m hoping for the best that I can do, so around the five hour mark,” Ward said.

Ward has been participating in the Hell of the West for seven years, four years individually and three years in teams.

He says he enjoys the struggle and its overall a fun thing promoting fitness.
