MMC vice president John Armstrong is expecting about 200 riders to attend.
The race day will feature 17 action packed classes plus a two-lap dash for cash.
“We can expect to see some good riders this weekend,” Armstrong said.
Among the top riders is Todd Waters from Queensland, who will be defending his pro-open and dash for cash title.
Local club members Ty Simmonds, who hails from Bourke, Nick Sutherland and Trent Loader will be tough to beat in their respected classes.
National competitors Dylan Petterson and Sam Duncanson will be battling it out in the Under 19s division.
The riders will be starting up their engines for practise at 8am and racing will get underway at 10am.
The family fun day out features a barbecue and canteen facilities plus free entry.
The dash-for-cash, which is unique to the Boolooroo Open, will be a two-lap test of skill with senior riders fighting it out for the $1000 cash prize.
“It’s always our biggest highlight; Todd Waters will be keen to defend his title,” Armstrong said.
The races will be split up into three heats and will work on a points system.
Local riders Chris Thomas and Jack Sinclair are eager to get out to Boolooroo raceway to stick it to the competition.
Thomas won last year’s clubman open division while Sinclair took home the bonze in the clubman light division.
“It should be a good day; I was pretty happy to come away with the win last year,” Thomas said.
A solid field of juniors should make for some exciting racing, according to Armstrong.
“We have a strong field of local juniors who will be looking to take home the title.”
The local physical culture club will be assisting with the flag marshalling.
Take along an umbrella and a chair and get trackside for the event.
Locals are given the opportunity to visit the pits but are encouraged to wear closed-in shoes.
