Moree one of four on standby for flood evacuation

02 Feb, 2012 07:32 AM
There are around 1660 people in four locations across the state on standby for evacuation.

There are 1250 people affected in Moree, 160 in Wingham, 100 in Taree and a further 50 in Barraba.

Live weather radar:

If you have received a flood evacuation, the NSW State Emergency Service suggests placing belongings on tables, beds and benches with electrical items on top.

Lightweight items may be able to go in the roof cavity. Collect medicines, personal and financial documents, mementos and photos and locate and ready pets.

Prepare now so if you do need to evacuate you are ready to leave promptly.
