A family in Moree has lived in fear for the past six weeks, the victim of rock throwing terror attacks.
In the latest incident a woman received glass splinters to her arm after a rock about the size of a child’s fist was thrown through their living-room window.
Barwon Avenue resident Tracie Lane said her house had been the target of the attacks.
It has been pelted with rocks and glass bottles.
Security screens have been installed to prevent windows from shattering.
Mrs Lane said a rock was thrown through the living room window about 9.30pm last Wednesday.
It was thrown with such force that it landed in the kitchen. Small shards of glass were left embedded in her left forearm.
Mrs Lane said the vandalism had been going on for the past six to eight weeks.
She said police had taken about 30 minutes to come to her house after a “triple zero” call was made.
Moree Police duty officer Inspector Chris Stiles said he understood the vandalism was a concern, but police needed to prioritise their callouts.
He said anyone caught vandalising a property would be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
Mrs Lane said police had told her they could not arrest or charge anyone because the incidents were happening at night and she could not positively identify anyone.
