An exhibition by Moree indigenous artists will be held at the Moree Tafe Grounds on Saturday, March 6, at 11.30am for conference delegates.
A large number of Aboriginal artists that have been studying at TAFE will be exhibiting arts and crafts.
Demonstrations of jewellery making, screen-printing and wood burning will be displayed.
The process of burning on boomerangs, wooden beads with aboriginal designs and paintings, and emu egg carvings will be exhibited.
A lunch cook-up of kangaroo kebabs and johnny cakes on coals will be served.
David Craigie is one of the artists that will display his work as part of the Mehi Murray and the women’s art group.
He has only been studying art at Moree Tafe for the past four years.
This is a remarkable achievement as he is a prolific artist.
