The operating times of Caltex Moree 24 hours service station will remain the same despite an armed hold-up at the business last week.
Business owner Anna Winter said she was a great supporter of Moree and would not let the rare event affect the business.
“We live in a great town, and there’s just unfortunately a small amount of people, of criminals out there that do the wrong thing,” Ms Winter said.
She said the armed robbery just after 12am Monday morning, in which a knife was produced by one of two suspects, had not been very successful.
Ms Winter said the pair had not made off with very much, thanks to security systems in place, although regular business had not been able to resume until 8pm Monday evening.
The most important thing, she said, was that her staff member at the service station at the time had not been hurt.
She would like to thank the Moree Police for their hard work, and hoped the perpetrators would be caught.
“I couldn’t run my business without bright, bubbly and friendly staff, which is what I do have,” Ms Winter said.
Ms Winter and her business partner and co-owner, Robert Moore, plan to continue providing the same level of customer service to the community.
Caltex Moree has been operating 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week for the past three years.
